Członek Stowarzyszenia Amnesty International, aktywny działacz na rzecz praw człowieka oraz edukator. W 2010 roku nominowany do nagrody „Osobowość Edukacji 2010 roku” przyznawanej przez wydawnictwo Wolters Kluwer oraz miesięcznik Dyrektor Szkoły za pracę na polu promocji i edukacji dotyczącej praw człowieka. W latach 2012-2014 wiceprezes stowarzyszenia Centrum Działań Niekonwencjonalnych Pro-Kulturamedia, animator kultury, organizator i pomysłodawca Śląskiego Festiwalu Kultury Żydowskiej. Współautor (jako członek interdysyplinarnej grupy twórczej Przestrzeń Słowa) wielu publikacji z dziedziny kultury, historii oraz antropologii społecznej, m. in. „Flâneur na moście” oraz „Świat po Harrym Potterze”. Wieloletni współtwórca Pisma Klubu Myśli Humanistycznej w Zabrzu „PoMysł”, oraz współorganizator cyklicznych sesji popularnonaukowych. Pomysłodawca inicjatywy Centrum Działań Niekonwencjonalnych łączącej Katowice oraz Lublin w aktywnej wymianie kulturalnej, uczestnik seminarium Kultura i Rozwój organizowanego przez Narodowe Centrum Kultury oraz Stowarzyszenie Obywatele Kultury w 2011 roku w Bydgoszczy pod hasłem „Miasto kultury czy miasto kulturalne? Dlaczego przedstawiam fotografie w sposób pozbawiony kontekstu?
Otóż, wszystkie te obrazy stanowią zapis życia fotografa, w tym wypadku także mojego.
O każdym z nich potrafię opowiedzieć, o kontekstach i tym co czułem wtedy.
Jednak, te nieuchwytne chwile są niemożliwe do przedstawienia bez poważnej dawki prozy, na którą tutaj, nie ma miejsca. Chodzi, w końcu o obraz i o jego siłę.
A graduate of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Silesia in Katowice, a long-time teacher of history and social studies at the Secondary School No. 2 in Zabrze. A member of the Amnesty International Association, an active human rights activist and educator. In 2010, he was nominated for the „Personality of Education 2010” award granted by the Wolters Kluwer publishing house and the monthly School Director for his work in the field of promotion and education regarding human rights. In 2012-2014, vice-president of the Pro-Kulturamedia Center for Unconventional Activities, cultural animator, organizer and originator of the Silesian Festival of Jewish Culture. Co-author (as a member of the interdisciplinary creative group Przestrzeń Słowa) of many publications in the field of culture, history and social anthropology, e.g. „Flâneur on the Bridge” and „The World After Harry Potter”. A long-time co-creator of the magazine of the Humanistic Thought Club in Zabrze „PoMysł”, and co-organizer of cyclical popular science sessions. Originator of the initiative of the Center for Unconventional Activities connecting Katowice and Lublin in active cultural exchange, participant of the Culture and Development seminar organized by the National Center for Culture and the Association of Citizens of Culture in Bydgoszcz in 2011 under the slogan „City of culture or city of culture? Culture as a platform for social and civic mobilization in Polish metropolises” where he presented the idea of developing independent cultural networks. Co-organizer of the independent alternative music festival Punk Not Zgred Fest in 2012. Music photographer, member and founder of the Zero Gravity Studio photographic collective, since 2015 associated with the Imago Silesia Foundation.
Why do I present photographs in a way that is devoid of context?
Well, all these images are a record of the photographer’s life, in this case also mine.
I can tell you about each of them, about the contexts and what I felt at that time.
However, this elusive moments are totally impossible to present without a serious dose of prose, which has no place here. It’s all about the image and its power.
